AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two local students are being recognized by the Georgia State School Superintendent.

The locals being recognized include Allie Rigdon at Emanuel County Institute and Robert Brown at Swainsboro High School.

The Georgie Department of Education says that Georgia Scholars carried exemplary course loads during their four years of high school, performed excellently in all courses, successfully participated in interscholastic events within their schools and communities, and assumed leadership roles in extracurricular activities sponsored by their schools.
