At the forum, which served to "promote potential and attract foreign investment to the Angolan market", the minister highlighted the government's policies to boost this sector.
"Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel highlighted the government's policies to boost domestic tourism, as well as the country's opening to foreign investment through attractive policies and the need to take advantage of South Africa's experience, measures that have boosted the country's exposure to foreign investment", says a statement from the Ministry of Tourism, to which VerAngola had access.
The minister, the note adds, "hopes that this forum will result in several partnerships that will foster the dynamism of the tourism sector, emphasising the experience of other countries with a considerable level of development, such as South Africa and, in particular, Cape Town".
"On behalf of the South African authorities, both deputy Noko Masipa and the person responsible for agriculture and economic development and tourism in the Western Cape region, Ivan Meyer, highlighted Angola as a strategic partner for regional cooperation," the note also reads.
