PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) โ Mercer and Wyoming Counties will host multiple drop-off sites for National DEA Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event provides community members with a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of expired, unused, or unwanted prescription medications.
Residents are encouraged to take part in this initiative to help prevent prescription drug misuse and protect the environment from the harms of improper disposal. Medications can be dropped off with no questions asked at any of the following locations:

Uniformed personnel from each respective county will be on-site to oversee collection, and all medications will be safely handled and disposed of by the county Sheriffโs Offices in accordance with DEA guidelines.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Mercer and Wyoming County Sheriffsโ Offices, the Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities, Community Connections, Inc., and Southern Highlands Mental Health Center.
